Obituary for Keith David Weffelmeyer

Keith David Weffelmeyer passed away on Thursday, July 6, 2023 at his residence in Fenton, Missouri at the age of 70 years, 6 months, and 18 days.

Keith was born on December 18, 1952 in St. Louis, Missouri to the late Charles Weffelmeyer and Gladys Marie Weffelmeyer (nee Weil).

Keith is survived by his wife, Lynne Weffelmeyer; children: John (Jennifer) Weffelmeyer, Jeff (Stacie) Weffelmeyer and Julie (Adam Lange) Rangel; grandchildren, Dylan Weffelmeyer, Logan Weffelmeyer, Jaylie Rangel, Layla Weffelmeyer, Jansen Rangel, Payton Weffelmeyer, and Gavin Weffelmeyer; siblings: Sue, Mary Jo, and Kurt.

Keith was also a loving uncle, cousin, and friend to many.

Keith devoted 35 years to the Fenton Fire District and retired in 2008 as Deputy Chief of Operations. He enjoyed fishing, spending time at the lake, and most of all hanging out with his 7 grandchildren.

Keith wanted to continue helping others after death and donated his body to educate future medical providers.

In lieu of flowers, Keith wanted donations made to Backstoppers, to assist families of first responders who are killed in the line of duty.

A Memorial Mass will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, September 30, 2023 at St. Paul Catholic Church, 15 Forest Knoll Drive, Fenton, Missouri 63026. Visitation will be held from 9:30 a.m. until time of mass.
